In Kalahari desert there is the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park partly in South Africa (approx one third) and in Botswana (two thirds). The South African part is called Kalahari Gemsbok National Park and Gemsbok National Park in Botswana.

We recommend Twee Rivieren and Nossob kemp, both close to Botswana border. The third camp, Mata Mata, is close to Namibian border. We recommend to stay at least 3-4 nights.

Lady Teddy is our mascot. To be precise she is the mascot of SUNatur, the Tour Operator (www.sunatur.cz) and so, as a sort of 'in-law' she became ours as well. Originally, she was, of course, simply 'Teddy" but in course of time it turned out she is a female, then became a lady so we changed her name to reflet the reality. She loves chatting with our guests, studies Wiki all the time and becomes smarter and smarter. She loves peoples and especiall kids.

Lady Teddy in Africa

Southern Namibia is certainly worth a visit. Fish river Canyon, Quiver Tree Forest, Luderitz and the diamond 'ghost town' of Kolmanskop, wild horses, and so much more.

Well worth at least two nights' stay.

A few ideas what to see in South Africa!
